WHAT DOES LYMPHATIC  MASSAGE TREAT?

3 Smiling Women

The lymphatic system is a system of vessels, somewhat similar to regular blood vessels, that carries lymphatic fluid instead of blood.

Lymphatic fluid doesn't have any red blood cells, but it's rich in lymphocytes (aka white blood cells) and fats. This is how it is closely tied in with your immune system.

It doesn't benefit from the heart's pumping since it's not a part of the circulatory system.

Lymphatic fluid goes forward by taking advantage of your muscles' movements, and cannot go backward thanks to a system of valves.
